The "Report on research methodology and literature review" gives an overview on relevant literature for the SmarterLabs project.

According to the setup of the SmarterLabs project the first step was to have a look at relevant existing literature. As final deliverable of Work Package 2 a "Report on research methodology and literature review" is now available for download. It shades a light on topics such as

  • smart city concepts,
  • smart mobility and urban systems,
  • Living Labs,
  • behaviour change,
  • participatory planning,
  • socio-technical change,
  • urban commons,
  • social ex-/inclusion,
  • upscaling,

and provides the theorectical background for the action research experiments (Living Labs) in the SmarterLabs project.
Based on the findings of WP2, in WP3 past projects in the four partner cities of Bellinzona, Brussels, Graz and Maastricht are investigated. The conclusions from the retrospective analyses of three selected initiatives in each city will be taken into consideration when setting up the Living Labs in the partner cities in WP4.
