The lab will take place between March and November 2017 and will be the occasion for all the interested citizens to co-create a smartphone app aimed at reducing car use. The app will monitor mobility patterns of its users, provide them with a feedback on the related energy consumptions and CO2 emissions and stimulate them to engage in challenges towards achievement of a personal goal for change. The more the changes in their own mobility patterns, the more the points users will earn. And points will be changed into tangible prizes offered by the City of Bellinzona, such as entrance to shows and exhibitions, public transport tickets, bicycle maintenance services and so on.
